  Acid Dyes - Use Instructions

Introduction

Acid Dyes  are water-soluble anionic dyes that are applied to nitrogenous fibres such as wool, silk, nylon and modified acrylic fibres from acid or neutral baths.

Appliction Methods

The application methods quoted are those generally preferred, and usually no reference is made to the less commonly used variants.

Acid Dyes

Dyeing Method 1

Recipe:

A. Dyes

x%(o.w.f.)

B. Sodium sulfate (anhydrous)

5~10%(o.w.f.)

C. Sulfuric acid ( 66 Be')

Adjust ph<3.5

Liquor ratio 1:10~30

2~4%(o.w.f.)

Dyeing Procedure:

Dyeing Method 2

Recipe:

A. Dyes

x%(o.w.f.)

B. Sodium sulfate (anhydrous)

5~10%(o.w.f.)

C. Glacial acetic acid

1~2%(o.w.f.)

*D. Sulfuric acid ( 66 Be')

Adjust ph<3.5

Liquor ratio 1:10~30

2~4%(o.w.f.)

                                                                                            *Add after half-dyeing

Dyeing Procedure

Note:   A further addition of sulfuric acid (66 Be') is made in case the dye is not completely exhausted.  Then dyeing for a further 30~60 minutes at the boil is carrier out.
